I want to say I was the first to start doing this, but who knows.

Anyways, I use the standard SF build, with Sliver Armor and Buffs to that (Intensity/Ebon Battle Standard). Now, this works well enough - but if the Bringer's aren't targeted, you're in for a long run xD. For the last slot, I normally have some form of a Shadow Step (depends on your preference), to get to the Bringer and cast, before a mob comes - doesn't really work, but makes me feel better.
Normally, you can get it down in about 7-8 mins or so, if you miss the Bringer's on early attempts, you're looking past 10 mins.
As for bringing a hero, yeah - just load up a team, tell 'em to hold one side, then send a hero to your side after the Kiln's heat. This'll trigger the next stage of the quest. If you need a run walkthrough, PM me in-game.

Key thing is to not go close to the Mesmers (Destroyer of Thoughts), if so - they'll strip your enchants.
I'm thinking about modding the build to go a bit faster, maybe a Dagger variant - but no idea.

EDIT: Saw the vid link, not sure why you were killing all of the other Destroyers leading up to it.
Also saw your Against the Charr, I normally run Sliver again, but I add in Stoneflesh for some damage reduction from the Arrows - this allows you to do HM.
Just cast Stoneflesh before final aggro, shadow step into the boss, Sliver. Total time = 5 mins or so.
It's also possible to do Curse of the Nornbear, but it's flawed - and requires a hero to bond you up for the final fight.
Otherwise, it's just a dagger build. You die at the last part, hope your hero died far enough in to res with you... :/
